Terms of Service

The terms governing your use of the Carbon Pro platform.

Service overview

Carbon Pro is a SaaS platform for calculating carbon footprints for individuals and businesses. We provide questionnaires, Smart Reports, PDF reports, QR codes, and an AI mitigation roadmap.
The service is provided online (web app) and requires no software download. Processing of your data is done via secure connections (HTTPS/TLS 1.3).

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you represent a company, you must be legally authorized to contract on its behalf.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. You must notify us immediately if unauthorized use is suspected.
Information you provide must be accurate and kept up to date. We reserve the right to suspend accounts containing misleading or fraudulent information.

Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via Stripe.com (Merchant of Record). Stripe handles billing, tax collection, and invoice issuance in its own name.
The Free plan includes: limited questionnaire, summary report, no history. Standard plan ($15/mo): full 23-question questionnaire, PDF and QR reports, AI roadmap, history tracking. Business plan ($100/mo): 30 questions, team dashboard, priority support.
On upgrade to a higher plan, the difference is pro-rated immediately. You do not lose any paid days. On downgrade, access to the higher tier remains until the end of the paid period.

Renewal is automatic until cancelled. You may cancel anytime from the dashboard (Account) or via Stripe (billing portal).
Upon cancellation, your account remains active until the end of the current paid period. It is then automatically converted to the Free plan. No data is deleted immediately.
You can reactivate your subscription at any time. You will regain all your data and previous history.

We offer a full money-back guarantee within 14 days of the first payment. If you are not satisfied, you can request a full refund via Stripe (billing portal) or the support team.
Refunds are processed by Stripe, Merchant of Record. We do not handle payment information directly. Refunds typically take 5–10 business days to appear in your account.
Amounts related to pro-rated upgrades that have already been partially used are not refundable, except in the case of a proven technical malfunction on our part.

Prohibited: misuse of the service (hacking, fraud, spam, unauthorized scraping, DDoS attacks).
Prohibited: reselling access or sharing account data with third parties (e.g., sharing passwords with an unregistered team).
Prohibited: attempting to bypass usage limits, run malicious software against the platform, or conduct penetration testing without prior written consent.

All Carbon Pro trademarks, logos, content, and software are owned by or licensed to us. Use of the platform does not grant you any intellectual property rights.
Your reports and answers belong to you. We grant you a non-exclusive license to use generated reports for your personal or internal business purposes.
You may not resell access to the platform or create a competing product based on our data or algorithms without written consent.

Results are informational environmental estimates. They do not constitute investment, legal, or third-party-certified carbon accounting advice.
We use up-to-date scientific emission factors from sources such as IPCC, DEFRA, and EPA, but estimate accuracy depends on the correctness of user answers and their actual conditions.
The service is provided 'as is' without warranty of uninterrupted availability or error-free performance. We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee the absence of temporary interruptions.

Our aggregate liability is limited to the subscription fees you paid in the prior 6 months, with a maximum of $500 USD.
We are not liable for indirect damages (loss of profits, data, reputation, or business opportunities) under any circumstances.
This limit does not apply in cases of gross negligence, intentional harm, or flagrant breach of essential contractual obligations.

You may terminate your account at any time from the dashboard. Your data will be deleted within 30 days (except payment records held by Stripe).
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately in cases of proven fraud or abuse, without refund.
Upon termination, you lose immediate access to paid features, but previously created public reports remain available read-only.

These terms are governed by the laws of Tunisia (replace with your country before launch).
Any dispute shall first be resolved through friendly negotiation within 30 days. If negotiation fails, the dispute shall be referred to arbitration under UNCITRAL rules.
The competent court is that of Tunis (replace with your city before launch).
