How your final score is generated
We aggregate your answers across energy, transport, food, waste and digital usage. Each answer is multiplied by a specific emission factor, then by the category weight, to produce a consolidated score in kg CO₂e / year.
Why results are comparable across sectors
All sectors (individuals, companies, cafés, hotels, NGOs) use the same base emission factors. Question weights and multiple variables ensure the final score faithfully reflects the scale of activity rather than entity type.
Why we use 30 questions per sector
After statistical testing, we determined that 30 questions is the optimum point between assessment accuracy and user experience. They cover energy, transport, food, waste, digital usage and supply chain.
